After Ted Nugent's comments about President Obama got Secret Service attention, it looked like the rocker might be in trouble. But not much happened at his meeting today with two agents he called "fine" and "professional," the Washington Post reports. Though Nugent said he'd be "dead or in jail" if Obama were reelected, "the issue has been resolved," says an agent. The Secret Service "does not anticipate any further action."

"By no stretch of the imagination did I threaten anyone’s life, or hint at violence or mayhem," Nugent said today. "Metaphors needn’t be explained to educated people." As for the meeting, he said agents agreed "that I have never made any threats of violence towards anyone," saying it "could not have gone better. I thanked them for their service, we shook hands and went about our business. God bless the good federal agents wherever they may be." (More Secret Service stories.)
