Thank goodness for the Transportation Security Administration. Who else could protect us from potential villains like Dina Frank, a 7-year-old girl with cerebral palsy who was subjected to an aggressive screening in New York on Monday? Frank requires crutches and leg braces to walk, so she had to get a pat down instead of going through the metal detectors. Her parents tell The Daily that agents were rough with her, and insisted on a full inspection even after a supervisor had checked her crutches, making them miss their flight.

But that wasn't the only dangerous offender the TSA was scrutinizing. Four-year-old Isabella Brademeyer caused a scene at a Wichita airport on April 15 when she hugged her grandmother, who had been detained for a pat down. Agents decided this warranted a search of the child, who, having just learned about "stranger danger" in school, became hysterical and ran, the grandmother tells the AP. "They yelled, 'We are going to shut down the airport if you don't go grab her.'" She was eventually given a pat down, as agents yelled and called her an "uncooperative suspect." The TSA says its agents followed proper procedure. (More TSA stories.)
