(AP Photo/Gary W. Green, Orlando Sentinel, Pool) Prosecutors gave the public a small, censored look at their case against George Zimmerman yesterday, delivering an eight-page list of witnesses it intends to call to the stand and evidence it intends to use. It also sent evidence to Zimmerman's defense team, though the team would say only that it consisted of 67 CDs and "numerous" paper documents. The Orlando Sentinel managed to score a copy of the witness list, and while most of the names are redacted, there are some interesting ones. Six civilians are named, including George Zimmerman's own father, Robert, his friend Joe Oliver, and his neighbor Frank Taaffe, along with Trayvon Martin's parents and brother. There's also an unnamed "Witness 8," who the Sentinel suspects is Trayvon's girlfriend. His or her phone records are included as evidence, as are Zimmerman's and Trayvon's. Also on the list are two FBI audio experts who have said publicly that they believe the screams heard on the 911 call are Trayvon's. (More Trayvon Martin stories.) Report an error
