Mitt Romney's super PAC pretty much lapped President Obama's last month, pulling in $4.6 million in April, to Priorities USA Action's $1.6 million. The kicker? That was the smallest haul of the year for the pro-Romney Restore Our Future, Politico reports. April was a particularly weak month for Priorities USA Action, which hasn't raised so little since it brought in $59,000 in January.
And despite the scads of cash that Restore Our Future dropped during the primaries, it still holds more reserves than the pro-Obama group, with $8.2 million to $4.7 million. The Democratic group received just nine donations of more than $10,000 in April; most of its money came from labor unions, as well as from the heads of Masimo Corp. and Ariel Capital. TV exec Michael King also donated more than $10,000. (More President Obama stories.)
