The Detroit Pistons moved to 11-2 in their last 13 with a stifling defensive effort against Memphis Friday night, 92-67. The Pistons had five players in double figures, led by Tayshaun Prince with 16 points. Detroit rookie Arron Afflalo, who took some locker-room ribbing but had 12 points, said "I feel like I'm learning more every day," reports AP. Elsewhere:

  • Michael Jordan practiced with Charlotte the other day and apparently that was enough as the Bobcats beat the Knicks by 10 tonight.
  • There haven't been many surprises so far for the Minnesota Timberwolves other than tonight's 131-118 victory over the Pacers. Al Jefferson and Sebastian Telfair combined for 59 points. Mike Dunleavy dropped in 30 for Indiana.
