McQueary: No Question Sandusky Was Abusing Child

Despite questions raised over his story, Mike McQueary says he's sure: Jerry Sandusky was sexually abusing a child in the Penn State showers. The former assistant coach testified today in the case that he heard a "skin-on-skin smacking sound" and spotted Sandusky "standing behind a boy who was propped up against a wall." "To me there's no way in that position his genitals weren't against his rear," he said. "They were extremely, extremely close." Did he have any doubt about what he saw? "No doubt at all," McQueary said.

The assistant coach testified that he told his father and a doctor friend about the situation, without providing too much detail, the Patriot-News reports. They told him to tell Joe Paterno; when he did so, he said he was vague with the details. After a call from athletic director Tim Curley, McQueary told Curley and VP Gary Schultz about the situation. They asked no questions, he said. Curley later called back and said he had checked into the incident.
