Hours after tweeting about the death of her grandmother, Rihanna performed at the Peace & Love Festival in Borlänge, Sweden—and it did not go well. Fans, who presumably did not know what was going on in the singer's personal life, tweeted that Rihanna was "too high to perform," "high as a kite," and "blatantly under the influence of drugs." Some also accused her of lip-syncing, and—to make matters even worse—she was 45 minutes late, Australia's News Network reports.
At one point, she talked about accused terrorist Anders Behring Breivik and dedicated "Redemption Song" to Norway, leading one audience member to tweet, "Note to Rihanna. Borlänge isnt't Oslo and no people weren't killed by Breivik here... But thanks for coming." (In the singer's defense, she had just played a festival in Oslo days prior.) Chris Brown also chimed in on Rihanna's grandmother's death, tweeting, "Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP." But not all of the weekend's Chris Brown news is nice: Click to hear a new recording in which he disses rival Drake. (More Rihanna stories.)
