London Eye to Be Twitter-Driven 'Mood Ring'
From tweet to wheel.   (?y entonces)

Want to gauge the mood of Brits during the Olympics? Just check out the London Eye. The Ferris wheel will be turned into a huge "mood ring" for 30 minutes each night. The wheel will light up in different colors, depending on the nation's attitude about the day's Games; the hue will be determined by tweets. Yellow will shine for a positive attitude, purple for negative, and green if Brits feel indifferent about what has transpired.

The project began when British utility company EDF Energy contacted a social media analytics expert and linguistics team Sosolimited, staffed by MIT grads, to survey UK-based Twitter sentiments about the Games. A "sentiment algorithm" will turn the words into color, notes Mashable. (More London Eye stories.)
