Ladies of Russia, take note: Vladimir Putin might just be into orgies. In an interview with Russia Today, Putin threw out an off-handed comment on the upside of group sex while discussing Pussy Riot, the Telegraph notes. Putin says that Pussy Riot—which he faults for making "everyone say their band's name too many times"—should have attracted authorities' attention earlier, after having a public orgy and uploading it online.
"Of course, people are allowed to do whatever they want to do, as long as it's legal," he added. "You know some fans of group sex say it’s better than one-on-one because, like in any team, you don’t need to hit the ball all the time." Sure, Putin. "Some fans." Some other less silly highlights from the interview:
- Putin said US/Russian relations had made great strides, but that the US' proposed missile defense shield makes him nervous—as does Mitt Romney. "Our American partners keep telling us 'This is not directed against you.' But what happens if Mr. Romney, who believes us to be America's number one foe, is elected?"
- He likened Western support of Syria's rebels to the US support of what would become al-Qaeda during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. "One should unlock Guantanamo, arm all of its inmates, and bring them to Syria to do the fighting—it's practically the same kind of people."
