Twenty-five people are dead after a ferry carrying 121 passengers collided with a tug boat and sank south of Hong Kong today, the BBC ports. Rescue crews scrambled to the scene, pulling all but one from the waters off of Lamma Island and taking 40 to a hospital. Lamma is a popular tourist destination, and is especially packed right now because today is China's National Day, and part of Hong Kong's mid-autumn festival. (More Hong Kong stories.)
