Women may have made big strides in the November election, but they struck out with every single House committee chairmanship. The House Republican Steering Committee crowned an all-male slate of chairs yesterday, Politico reports; the only still-open slots that could potentially go to women are the House Ethics Committee and the House Administration Committee. Even so, Politico notes that women saw "big gains in Republican leadership," including a female Republican Conference chair, vice chair, and secretary. (More House of Representatives stories.)
