Florida has an interesting way of dealing with the invasive Burmese pythons colonizing the Everglades: dangle cash prizes in front of would-be hunters. Next month's 2013 Python Challenge, run by the state wildlife commission, will award $1,000 to the hunter who kills the longest snake, and $1,500 to the person who snuffs out the most, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. You don't even need a hunting license to participate, unless you're under 18, but you do need to take an online training course that will teach you how to kill the snakes humanely.
