Legendary Baltimore Orioles manager Earl Weaver is dead at age 82, and if three words can sum up his career, the hometown Sun has them: "cantankerous baseball wizard." The Hall of Famer turned the Orioles into a powerhouse in the late '60s and throughout the 1970s, though he won only one World Series (1970), notes ESPN. He died aboard a cruise ship. Weaver's death means there's a decent chance this legendary radio clip—featuring outrageously over-the-top swearing by Weaver—will be making the rounds today. Not to spoil the fun, but it was a prank by Weaver and his co-host, as a Sun columnist pointed out a few years back. (More Earl Weaver stories.)
