On a good night for New York, the Knicks won the second of their last 11 games, an 89-65 rout of the exhausted Pistons. Zach Randolph led the team with 25 points while Stephon Marbury claimed injury, with coach Isiah Thomas talking about Marbury's return in "ifs," not "whens," reports the New York Times. • Another Indiana team went belly-up against another California team, as the Pacers couldn't keep up with Golden State, falling behind 106-101 for their ninth loss in 11 games.
  • The Lakers scraped out a 100-99 victory over Memphis, but suffered a huge loss when Andrew Bynum sprained his knee coming down from a rebound.
