Waitress Gets Handed Her Own Stolen ID

When a waitress asks for your ID, you may not want to hand her ... her own stolen ID. That's what recently happened at an Applebee's in Colorado, KDVR reports. Brianna Priddy's wallet was stolen last month, and she was shocked when a customer handed her her own ID on Feb. 25. But instead of confronting the customer, "I kept ‘em around, got ‘em some water. Had ‘em order appetizers," she says, and then called police when she went to the back.

"I don’t know how I kept it cool," Priddy adds. "I wanted to jump across the table and go at her!" In addition to identity theft charges, the suspect is accused of writing bad checks and selling drugs. Perhaps the weirdest detail: The suspect is 26, so she could have used her own ID to buy a drink, KSDK reports. "Dumb criminal! That's the first that comes to mind," says a police spokesperson. (It's not the first time something like this has happened.)
