Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker spoke at CPAC today to push his small-government views, but he's also making headlines over an interview with Politico in which he talked about the 2016 presidential race. Is he interested in running? "Possibly. I guess the only thing I’d say is I’m not ruling it out.” Along those lines, he declined to commit to serving a full four-year-term if he's re-elected next year. Asked about the general political trend toward more diverse candidates, Walker said he qualifies because he's a "new fresh face." The criticism with the current state of politics "goes to old white guys," said the 45-year-old. "I'm not an old white guy."

Another potential 2016 candidate, Jeb Bush, addressed CPAC last night and said the GOP needs to become the party of "inclusion and acceptance" in order to shed its "anti-everything" label, reports the Hill. "Way too many people believe Republicans are anti-immigrant, anti-woman, anti-science, anti-gay, anti-worker, and the list goes on and on and on," he said. "Many voters are simply unwilling to choose our candidates even though they share our core beliefs because those voters feel unwanted, unloved and unwelcome in our party." He expounded on the theme in a Wall Street Journal op-ed. (More Scott Walker stories.)
