At a White House ceremony honoring 28 new American citizens today, President Obama called for Congress to "finish the job" on immigration reform. He said the system is "broken" and now is the time "to fix it once and for all," his most substantive remarks on the issue in more than a month, the AP reports. He wants lawmakers, currently on spring break, to take up debate next month and finalize the overhaul legislation. He praised the eight senators drafting a bill that would create a path to citizenship for 11 million illegal immigrants, but urged them to wrap things up so he can sign it into law as soon as possible.
