Lindsay Lohan was on the Late Show last night to talk about her role in Scary Movie 5, but David Letterman was more interested in discussing her recent troubles and upcoming stint in rehab, the New York Daily News reports. "How many times have you been in rehab?” Letterman asked. "Several," said an uncomfortable Lohan. Letterman continued undaunted: "And how will this time be different? What are they rehabbing, first of all? What is on their list? What are they going to work on when you walk through the door?” Joked Lohan, "We didn’t discuss this in the pre-interview."

She eventually opened up, and even teared up as Letterman complimented her for having enough "spine" to come back on the show after all the jokes he's made about her. Of rehab, Lohan said, "I think, to be honest, I’m the happiest when I’m working and the healthiest, and I think this an opportunity for me to, you know, focus on what I love in life. And I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s a blessing ... and not a curse." Gossip outlets are using words like "grilled" and "interrogated" for Letterman's interview, but a teary Lohan told him at the end that he's "very sweet," and added, "I love seeing you."
