7 Stars With Awful Breakup Etiquette

It sounds like something out of a bad sitcom, but apparently Russell Brand really did break up with Katy Perry via text message, Perry recently revealed. "Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011," she said. E! rounds up six more celebrities whose breakup methods leave something to be desired:

• Matt Damon: He seems like such a nice guy, right? But he announced his breakup with Minnie Driver ... on Oprah, meaning Driver found out about it at the same time you did.

• Daniel Day-Lewis: No, despite the rumors, he did not break up with Isabelle Adjani via fax ... but the real story is even worse. Adjani says she told him she was pregnant, and then "we never saw each other again. He never told me it was over."
• Sylvester Stallone: He broke up with Jennifer Flavin via a six-page letter sent by FedEx. But apparently Flavin didn't mind too much, because they ended up getting back together and getting married.
