Celebrity | entertainment Russell Brand Cracks Cruel Joke About Katy Perry Implies their sex life was about as hot as celibacy By Newser Editors Posted Aug 5, 2013 10:14 AM CDT Updated Aug 5, 2013 10:59 AM CDT Copied Photo dated April 19 2011 of Katy Perry and Russell Brand. (AP Photo / Dominic Lipinski/PA, File) You have to imagine Katy Perry is regretting that whole get-married-to-Russell-Brand thing pretty hard right now. First came the news that he ended the marriage ... on New Year's Eve ... via text. How is he treating his once-beloved now? You be the judge: The New York Daily News reports that Brand continues to work Perry into his stand-up routine. At a London show on Wednesday, the 38-year-old first basically summed up sex with Perry as about as hot as celibacy. The joke: "When you're a monk, you're not allowed to have sex with anyone. When you're married, it's one person. That's one more than a monk. It's not that different. I'd be having sex thinking, 'think of anyone, anyone else.'" The Wednesday gig came in advance of Brand's Messiah Complex world tour. Up next for Perry: Album No. 3, which she last week revealed will be called Prism and will drop Oct. 22, reports Billboard. Perry looks pretty stripped down in the promo photo for it, much like the nearly-unrecognizable Gaga. Read These Next New Fox star, 23, misses first day after car troubles.
