When they get out of jail in 5 years or so, these two kidnappers might want to consider another line of work. Their hearts just don't seem to be in it. Police in China say two men kidnapped an 11-year-old girl and planned on asking her family for a reward of about $160,000, reports the Shanghai Daily. Problem: The girl's family has no money. When this became clear, the kidnappers gave the girl about $80 of their own cash and set her free. What's more, they had shelled out about $1,600 on their kidnapping plot—including masks and a rental car. Police caught up with the pair in Fujian Province, and they got 4- and 5-year sentences. Cops say they took good care of the girl. (More weird crimes stories.)
