Shellie Zimmerman talked to Matt Lauer today, and some substantial soundbites are emerging: that she hasn't been able to find her estranged husband to serve him divorce papers, that she "doubts" a big claim he made, and that she doesn't know what he's capable of. She tells Lauer she doesn't believe her husband profiled Trayvon Martin but now "doubts" his innocence on the self-defense claim; still, she said she respects the jury's decision.

She also talked about that Sept. 9 altercation: "In hindsight," she truly regrets not pressing charges, "but I'm on probation and the officers made it very clear that day if I pressed charges we were all going to go to jail and I would've been the only one to stay there,'' she tells Lauer. But she's looking forward and taking care of herself; she says she recently lost 40 pounds. She also wants to divorce her husband, but Zimmerman's current whereabouts are unknown to her and her attorney—though the Orlando Sentinel knows where he was on Aug. 19: being pulled over by police, for the third time. Per police paperwork, his "window tint ... was too dark" and a tag cover had been placed over his tag; he got off with a warning. (More George Zimmerman stories.)
