When coming up with the best countries in terms of gender equality, think Nordic. Iceland again leads the annual list put out by the World Economic Forum, which crunches stats on education, health care, jobs, politics, and more, reports the BBC. That makes five years in a row for Iceland, whose neighbors took the next three spots. The top 10:

  1. Iceland
  2. Finland
  3. Norway
  4. Sweden
  5. Philippines
  6. Ireland
  7. New Zealand
  8. Denmark
  9. Switzerland
  10. Nicaragua
The US came in at No. 23. See the full rankings via interactive maps at the BBC. (More lists stories.)
