(AP Photo/Cliff Owen, File) After his latest assault charge, Chris Brown has decided to get some help. The singer is checking into rehab and "his goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point," a rep tells the Los Angeles Times. Brown, who is still on probation for beating up Rihanna in 2009, could get up to 180 days if convicted of misdemeanor assault over the weekend scuffle in Washington, DC. The 24-year-old's family and friends think rehab and anger management is exactly what he needs right now, a source tells E! Online. "He's a good kid, but he keeps messing up," the insider says. "He needs help. He keeps self-medicating with weed and alcohol and that's when he always gets in trouble." (More Chris Brown stories.) Report an error
