NYPD Probing Attacks on Jews as Hate Crimes

A string of attacks on Jews in Brooklyn has the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force investigating; observers fear the violence could be part of a game of some kind. A 12-year-old boy wearing traditional clothing was knocked down after being punched "on the side of the face, full force," says his father. "A hysterical, happy shout, ‘We got him.'" A surveillance video shows another assault on a Jewish man. NYPD commissioner Ray Kelly says he believes there have been eight attacks since September, CBS New York notes, but he adds that it's "difficult to tell" if they're related, the New York Daily News reports.
