Sorry, Harry: Katniss Everdeen has broken your $82.4 million Thanksgiving record. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire gobbled up $110.2 million over the five-day weekend, Wednesday to Sunday, breaking the spell cast by Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Catching Fire also had the fourth-biggest second weekend in history, behind The Avengers, Avatar, and The Dark Knight. Internationally, it's brought in $573 million. On the same weekend, Disney fairy tale Frozen also shattered Potter's record, taking in $93 million, notes the Hollywood Reporter. That gives the animated film the biggest Thanksgiving opening ever, a record previously held by Toy Story 2. The domestic box office this weekend had a total revenue of $294 million, about a 1% jump from a record $291 million last year. (More Hunger Games stories.)
