Bill Nye must be rolling his eyes about now. His debate with Creation Museum founder Ken Ham aroused so much attention last month that the museum's proposed Noah's Ark theme park got much-needed funding at the last minute, NPR reports. "It was a challenging time, one that on a human level required a miracle to overcome," said Ham of the long-delayed park. "And God in His providence supplied our needs." More specifically, the park secured a $62 million municipal bond offering that salvaged the foundering project.

But scientists warned Nye about this: "Nye's appearance will be giving money to organizations who try to subvert the mission Nye has had all his life," wrote pro-evolution author Jerry Coyne. So what will Nye's blessing bestow upon the world? A $73 million park including a 510-foot replica of Noah's Ark, from a museum that says humans co-existed with dinosaurs. For the record, Ham also said he also benefited from interest in the new Russell Crowe film Noah—which is including a disclaimer in its ads about not offering the literal story of Noah's Ark, the LA Times reports.
