Donald Trump boasted about not using a teleprompter during his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference yesterday, but it looks like he could have used a fact-checker. "I think by next month, we will have surpassed the late, great Jimmy Carter," he told the gathering of conservative activists, prompting a response from the grandson of the very much still alive former president, reports ABC. "I'm pretty sure I would have heard about that," quipped James Carter.

In his remarks, Trump predicted "economic catastrophe" by 2016 and slammed President Obama, immigration policy, and China, where he says "they have no respect for our leader and, frankly, they have no respect any longer for our great country"—though "they love me," reports Mediaite. "Based on today's speeches, I am not sure we will be able to tell the difference between CPAC and the SNL spoof of CPAC," tweeted White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer. (More Donald Trump stories.)
