Amy Will Be at Grammys— via Satellite

A recent trip to rehab hasn't made the US government a bigger fan of singer Amy Winehouse. Her bid for a visa to perform at the Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles has been denied by the American embassy in London, the AP reports. She won't be a total no-show, however—producers have finagled a live performance via satellite.

Winehouse is "disappointed with the decision but has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery," her reps said. The 24-year-old, whose music blends blues, jazz, and pop, is nominated in six Grammy categories. She's been a tabloid mainstay in Britain because of her drug problems, and she entered rehab two weeks ago.
