Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, and the University of Pennsylvania are out of luck: The Long Island teenager who scored the amazing feat of being accepted by all eight Ivy League schools has picked Yale, saying a campus visit where he "met geniuses from all over the world and everyone was so friendly and inviting" helped him make his mind up, NBC reports.
Kwasi Enin, the son of immigrant nurses from Ghana, scored 2,250 out of 2,400 on his SAT and is planning a career in medicine. "I'm thinking of being a cardiologist or neurologist," he tells the New York Daily News. "A doctor is a community leader, a protector, someone who people turn to ... when they need help." He says Yale's great reputation for music is another reason for the choice. "I want the passion of music and medicine to be part of my life wherever I go," he says. (More Ivy League stories.)
