If you've seen a lot of shaggy-looking men on Alaska's Kodiak Island, this might be why. A new study finds the city of Kodiak has the priciest men's haircut in the nation, on average at $26.67 a cut. That's nearly twice the national average. The Kodiak Daily Mirror reports that the figure is included in a state Labor Department report comparing cost of living data for more than 300 cities. On the bright side, the same report says Kodiak has the most inexpensive movie ticket in Alaska, at $6 on average. That's well below the average ticket price of $10.68 in Anchorage.
