A new lead in the case of the Oregon woman who vanished after buying gas last month: Police are investigating a possible sighting of Jennifer Huston and her green Lexus SUV on a ferry headed to Washington state's San Juan Islands, reports NBC. A couple told police they believed they saw the missing mother of two and the car on Thursday morning, and investigators are now reviewing surveillance video, although a police spokesman tells the Oregonian that there have been no other reported sightings of Huston, even though the possible ferry sighting was highly publicized.
Huston, whose children are 2 and 6 years old, was last seen filling up her SUV at a gas station in Newberg, Ore., on July 24. Her credit card has not been used since. Police have ended their formal search for her but they are still following up on tips, another Oregonian story reports. Her husband says the disappearance is completely out of character and he has pleaded for the public to keep looking out for her Lexus, which has a cracked windshield and the Oregon license plate number WXH-011.
