Dirk Nowitzki had 27 points on 89% shooting as three Mavericks crossed the 20-point plateau in a 98-83 win over the rebuilding Grizzlies. Jason Kidd, in his second game since being traded to Dallas, fit nicely into the offense with 15 assists. The Mavs controlled this game all the way, extending a 19-point halftime lead to 26 at one point, reports AP.

Memphis, which has made numerous player moves over the last several weeks, was off its game, as many inexperienced players were forced to play together, creating poor offensive sequences at times. Rudy Gay and Hakim Warrick led the Grizzlies with 18 and 15 points respectively.  Dallas, which has won 11 straight versus Memphis, ended a four-game road losing streak. (More NBA stories.)
