The Chicago Blackhawks built a 5-1 lead in the second period last night, but the fun was just beginning. Patrick Sharp ended up scoring the game winner in overtime for Chicago after the Los Angeles Kings scored four third-period goals to tie, before losing 6-5, reports the Associated Press. Sharp, who leads Chicago with 29 goals, also scored in the first period.

The Blackhawks scored four times in the first period in a span of 4:06, and the lead looked safe until the third. Michael Cammalleri, Tom Preissing, Patrick O'Sullivan and Anze Kopitar all scored in the final 11 minutes for the Kings to tie. It was the second time this year the Kings scored four goals in the third, the first being Nov. 10 in an OT win over Dallas. (More NHL stories.)
