Bad news, Barbie: Parents these days kinda prefer Queen Elsa and her animated co-stars from the movie Frozen, CNBC reports. A holiday toys survey finds that one in five parents plan to purchase merchandise from the Disney flick for their girls, while Barbie ranks second (for the first time in the survey's 11 years) at 16.8%. "Barbie has been the top girls' toy for over a decade, but it is no surprise that Disney's Frozen has taken the top seat, as children have had it on the mind as far back as Halloween," an analyst says. Indeed, Frozen's popularity has risen since its release last November, banking $1.25 billion in global revenue. For boys, parents' top-two favorite merchandising streams this season are LEGO and Cars & Trucks, USA Today reports. (More Frozen stories.)
