Janay Rice continues her steadfast defense of husband Ray in an interview with NBC set to air tomorrow and Tuesday, telling Matt Lauer that Ray Rice told the NFL the truth and nothing but the truth about the domestic violence incident that has sidelined his career. Referring to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's claim that Rice was "ambiguous," she says, "I think they did what they had to do for themselves. I feel like if they wanted to know more details then they would have asked. But there were no further questions. It's been consistent with everything that he's been saying since February." Asked if Goodell was lying, she responded, "I can't say he's telling the truth." Ray Rice's suspension was thrown out Friday, with a judge finding that he did not lie and was thus wrongfully punished twice. (More Ray Rice stories.)
