Dirk Nowitzki beat all scorers with 29 points in a characteristically efficient 10-of-15 performance. Al Jefferson led the Timberwolves with 22. Also in pro hoops: The Rockets remained the NBA's hottest team, handily outshooting the Bulls 110-97 to win their 16th in 17 games. Andrea Bargnani (25 points) and the Raptors topped the Knicks 115-92 in the Toronto debut of gregarious Slovenian center and self-described "gangster," Primoz Brezec.
