A made-up blind twin and rapper Vanilla Ice under (police) pressure are among the weirdest crime stories of the week:

  • Guy Gets Beat Up in Police Custody, But ... : He was brought in for police questioning and endured punches to the face, but when Aleksander Tomaszewski filed a complaint against the detectives in the case, he ran into a big problem: Surveillance video of his holding cell reveals that the 33-year-old beat himself up—and punched himself a staggering number of times.
  • LG Exec Allegedly Broke Rival's Washing Machine: Jo Seong-jin, a top exec for LG Electronics, has been accused of vandalizing washing machines made by rival company Samsung, and he's been indicted over the incident. Samsung said LG execs had broken the doors of four of its washing machines at two Berlin shopping centers. LG said Jo, the head of its home appliance division, and other execs were indeed surveying the competition, but it had a different explanation for the broken Samsung doors.

  • 'Hey, Meet My Fake, Blind Twin, Tony': Authorities say a northern New Jersey man posed as his fictitious, blind twin brother in a bid to delay court hearings on several motor-vehicle summonses. Rochelle Park police say that Olawale Agoro received five summonses during a July 31 traffic stop. But during a September court appearance, authorities say the 58-year-old Agoro claimed to be his twin brother "Tony." Two things in particular led to him getting busted.
  • Woman, 80, Has Florida Judge Cracking Up: Dolores Sheinis, 80, was in a Broward County courtroom for violating an injunction to stay away from her ex-husband. It's complicated: They've been divorced for 31 years but live in the same apartment. But the interaction between Judge John Hurley and Sheinis took a somewhat charming turn. Part of it was the term of endearment she kept using.
  • Vanilla Ice Calls Arrest a 'Misunderstanding': Vanilla Ice (the rapper born Robert Van Winkle) wants the world to "focus on all the good things I've done." The 47-year-old also likely wants everyone to forget that he was arrested on charges of burglary and grand theft for allegedly ransacking a foreclosed home in Florida. The real estate broker for the burgled home is baffled over the alleged crime, which he says involves what's "basically junk."
