A Monmouth University poll has some seriously bad news for Lincoln Chafee. The candidate of about 6 six weeks did not get a single vote in a survey of 1,001 registered voters who are Democrats or lean that way. "To be clear, this does not just mean that the former Rhode Island governor got 0 percent of the vote, leaving room for him to receive some votes but not enough to amount to 1 percent," notes a post at Mother Jones. "No: Chafee received exactly zero votes in the poll."

In a lesser surprise, Hillary Clinton led the Democrats at 51%, down from 57% in June, while Bernie Sanders rose from 12% to 17%. Maybe more intriguing: Joe Biden ticked up to 13%, and Monmouth points out that he would likely double that in an instant were he to announce his candidacy. What's more, most of his additional supporters would come from the Clinton camp. (One bright side for Chafee: The former Republican has a trump card to play against Clinton in regard to the Iraq war.)
