Stephen Colbert is back on TV and he has a lot of Trumpiness to catch up with. He made his debut as Late Show host last night and made it clear that he would keep up the political coverage even though he's no longer in character as "narcissistic conservative pundit" Stephen Colbert, Mediaite reports. "Just like the rest of the media, I will be covering all of the presidential candidates ... who are Donald Trump," he said before airing some highlights from the last few months of the Trump campaign. "Everyone likes Trump," Colbert said. “Even white supremacists—which is amazing, 'cause Trump's not even white; he's more Oompa-Loompamerican."

The host—who quipped that he was looking for the "real" Stephen Colbert and "I hope I don't find him on Ashley Madison"—had a surprise cameo from Jon Stewart in a pretaped segment at the start of the show, reports E! Online. His guests included George Clooney and Jeb Bush. The presidential candidate was asked some serious questions on issues like gun control, but Colbert didn't pass up the opportunity to get a few more laughs at Trump's expense, offering Bush some "Trumpier" lines for next week's GOP debate, including, "I will build a wall between the United States and Iran," the New York Times reports.
