Four people are now dead, dozens more injured, and the father of the woman accused of plowing into an Oklahoma State University homecoming parade under the influence and causing the deaths is mystified. "I can't wrap my brain around this … This is not the person that's my daughter," Floyd Chambers tells the Oklahoman. "I can't imagine alcohol being involved. ... I know that she didn't do this on purpose. This is just a bad accident." Chambers says he thinks his 25-year-old daughter, Adacia Avery Chambers, was on her way to work, at her job in the food industry, when the accident happened Saturday morning.

Seventeen people remain hospitalized in the crash, reports CNN, and five of those are listed as critical. "I just saw something black coming at us. I didn't know what it was at first, so I just got up and ran," says a student who was among the injured. "The car hit me as it was stopping, and then I flew over some strollers."
