Politics | Amtrak Chris Christie Kicked Off Train for Screaming New Jersey governor was in the, uh, quiet car By Neal Colgrass Posted Oct 25, 2015 2:25 PM CDT Copied New Jersey Gov. and Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie speaks to supporters at the Speedway Cafe in Newton, Iowa, Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015. (Bryon Houlgrave/The Des Moines Register via AP) Chris Christie made a little news Sunday when he boarded a "quiet" Amtrak car and barked so loudly into his phone that the conductor kicked him off. After nearly missing the 9:55 from DC to New York, Gawker reports, Christie boarded the car in a pretty foul mood. A fellow passenger tells the story: "He got on last minute yelling at his two secret service agents I think because of a seat mixup, sat down and immediately started making phone calls on the quiet car. After about 10 minutes the conductor asked him to stop or go to another car. He got up and walked out again yelling at his secret service. He was drinking a McDonald’s strawberry smoothie." Then the New Jersey governor apparently walked out while continuing to shout into his phone, saying things like "this is frickin' ridiculous" and "seriously?! seriously?!" He did, however, issue an apology through a spokeswoman for his presidential campaign, the Washington Post reports. Christie had just made an appearance on "Face the Nation" on CBS. (He was labeled a "bully" last year during the whole bridge scandal.) Read These Next Lily Allen's 'revenge dress' literally has the receipts.
