A London man says the young boy who threatens unbelievers in the latest ISIS video is the son of his daughter. Henry Dare says Grace "Khadijah" Dare came from a Christian family of Nigerian descent but converted to Islam as a teen. She left Britain for Syria several years ago; Dare says she married Swedish jihadi fighter Abu Bakr, who has since died, and became a figurehead for ISIS. Her son, Isa, has apparently taken on a similar role. "It's definitely him," Dare tells the Telegraph. "He's propaganda ... They are just using him as a shield," he adds, per Channel 4. Meanwhile, relatives of British Muslim convert Siddhartha Dhar, who fled Britain while facing terror charges in 2014, say he may be the "new Jihadi John" featured in the video, per the Telegraph. And Reuters adds that he previously held an improbable job: that of bouncy-house salesman.
As for Isa, a photo of him holding an AK-47 was also posted on his mother's Twitter account in 2014, per the Guardian. Past ISIS videos have shown Khadijah talking about her life in Syria and firing a Kalashnikov. "I couldn't find anyone in the UK who was willing to sacrifice their life in this world for the life in the hereafter," she says in one, standing next to her husband, who cradles a young son. Dare says he last heard from his daughter when she called him from Syria "weeks ago." He adds he wants her to return to Britain to "face the music" for having "brought shame on our family."
