An unlikely drug bust and a teen caught in a "man-trap" are among the weirdest crime stories of the week:

  • Someone Has Stolen One of Lincoln's Body Parts: The small Illinois town of Kankakee has been dealing with a baffling crime: the theft of President Abraham Lincoln's hand. Actually, it's a plaster sculpture of Lincoln's appendage that happens to be "the size of a 8-10 pound ham," and it's been missing from the Kankakee County Museum since mid-December. But the museum isn't just lacking witnesses—it doesn't even have a firm timeline.
  • Someone Not Supposed to Be Busted for Drugs Was Busted for Drugs: Drug task force agent Christopher Heath, from California, was arrested Dec. 29 in Pennsylvania, allegedly with quite a haul of marijuana—nearly 250 pounds of it. Heath, who was on vacation from the Yuba County Sheriff's Department, also had his badge and gun on him in addition to the pot, said to be worth $2 million. There was one other tiny thing that aroused police suspicion.

  • Impressive Arsenal Found in Car Outside Patriots' Stadium: Police say 48-year-old Matthew Bromson was acting weird in an employee parking lot at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., hours before an annual outdoor NHL game on New Year's Day. But what they say was inside his car was even weirder: A meat cleaver, a stun gun, a katana, and a crossbow were just a few pieces they encountered. Bromson had another incident with Connecticut cops in 2014 that was also ... worrisome.
  • Teen Bank Robber Caught in Surprise Trap, Cops Say: An adolescent would-be bank robber in Detroit found himself imprisoned—and presumably regretting one or two life choices—within seconds of being handed money at a bank, cops say. A police spokesman says the 15-year-old gave a teller a note claiming he had a bomb and demanding money. As he left with the cash, the teller hit a button—and the "man-trap" was activated.
  • Roommate Learns the Complicated Rules of Showering: "Is it the most effective use of police resources? No." That's what a Toronto officer had to say after authorities responded to an alleged assault that resulted in minor injuries at an apartment in the city. The problem? A tenant's roommate had apparently woken up too early to take a shower. There has to be more to this story, right?
