Heather Mills was an “inconsistent and inaccurate” witness in her divorce hearings with Paul McCartney, the case judge said today. He described the ex-Beatle’s ex as “less than candid” and “less than impressive,” but tempered his critique by noting that Mills is a “kindly individual” who showed “steely, yet courteous determination” in representing herself in court, the Daily Telegraph reports.
Sir Paul, on the other hand, "was consistent, accurate and honest." McCartney will shell out $48.7 million for Mills, plus some $70,000 a year for their daughter, Beatrice—a high sum but less than a fifth of what Mills wanted. Sir Paul left the court with a smile on his face, while the former model said Beatrice would now “travel 'B' class while her father travels 'A' class.” Still, she praised the settlement as “an incredible result.” (More Heather Mills stories.)
