As the race for the Democratic nomination between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton heats up, the former first daughter is stumping for her mom—and saying things that Sanders says are "absolutely wrong," per CNN. Chelsea Clinton spoke at a New Hampshire campaign rally Tuesday, the Hill reports, and she took that opportunity to go on the offensive against the Vermont senator's Medicare for All health care initiative. "Senator Sanders wants to dismantle ObamaCare … dismantle Medicare, and dismantle private insurance," she said, per NBC News. "I worry if we give Republicans Democratic permission to do that, we'll go back to an era—before we had the Affordable Care Act—that would strip millions and millions and millions of people [of] their health insurance." She added, per a CNN clip, that she didn't want to "empower Republican governors" to take away such things from low- and middle-income citizens and that "that's what Senator Sanders' plan would do."

CNN caught up with Sanders after President Obama's State of the Union address, and the senator cordially but firmly took the younger Clinton to task. "Unfortunately … as much as I admire Chelsea, she didn't read the plan," he says. "What my plan would do is not only provide health care to all, it would save middle-class families thousands of dollars" (his rep puts that number at $5,000 per year for an "average middle-class family," notes NBC). "And where she is absolutely wrong: This is a plan that works in 50 states in this country, whether you have conservative Republicans or progressive Democrats," he added. When the CNN reporter reiterated: "So when she and Hillary Clinton argue that you're going to turn over people's health care to Republican governors who are going to take it away, she's flat wrong?" In the same firm tone, Bernie's reply: "Yes. Flat wrong." (More Bernie Sanders stories.)
