In what's surely the saddest bank-robbery attempt of 2016 so far, cops say a California woman tried to rob a bank, and it may have been her intimidating weapon-of-choice that caused her criminal endeavors to crash and burn. Per the Daily Breeze, the woman allegedly walked into a Bank of America in San Pedro Monday morning, sauntered up to a teller, and handed over a note demanding cash. Police report she claimed to have a gun in her pocket, and in one hand she wielded … a stick. The Breeze says the teller didn't give her anything, and KABC notes she fled the scene and was nabbed by cops a few blocks away thanks to some witnesses who followed her. (Not quite a spaghetti-sauce bomb, though.)
