Jeb Bush: Reject Trump, Vote Cruz

Jeb Bush endorsed Ted Cruz on Wednesday in what Politico calls "a massive boost for Cruz with the establishment wing of the GOP." But like other Republicans who've shown support for the Texas senator, Bush seems less than thrilled. Cruz presents "the only way Republicans can hope to win back the White House" and "overcome the divisiveness and vulgarity" of Donald Trump, he says. "Ted is a consistent, principled conservative who has demonstrated the ability to appeal to voters and win primary contests." A source close to Bush says he "will actively support Senator Cruz's bid," though he hasn't agreed to appear with him or at a fundraiser. (More Election 2016 stories.)
