When former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison, the judge said he "went to great lengths to engage in commercial sex acts with underage minors." Thanks to Fogle appealing his sentence, we now know what more of those lengths were, the Indianapolis Star reports. "I'll pay you big for a 14- or 15-year-old," reads one text sent by Fogle to an escort. The text was included in a government filing to the US Court of Appeals Monday. "If they can [prove their age] and you get me 16 or below, I'll give you 400 at least," reads another. "What does she look like? If she's good looking I would give you 300," CBS News quotes a text Fogle sent to an escort with a 15-year-old cousin as saying. According to TMZ, Fogle described 15- and 16-year-old girls as "what I crave" in the texts.

Fogle's sentence, after pleading guilty to distributing and receiving child pornography and traveling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a child, was above both federal guidelines and what prosecutors asked for. He claims he was being punished for his fantasies as well as for his actions. The texts included in the government's filing were prosecutors' way of pointing out he was actively seeking to make those fantasies a reality. The government claims they demonstrate Fogle had a "pattern" of getting close with escorts then offering finder's fees if they provided him with minors for sex. He sent the texts in multiple cities, including New York, Las Vegas, and Kansas City. (More Jared Fogle stories.)
