Hunter Osborn probably won't feel like pulling any pranks in the near future, but it looks like he's off the hook for his last one. The 19-year-old student at Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Ariz., was hit with 69 counts of indecent exposure over the weekend, plus a felony charge of furnishing harmful items to minors, after cops say he purposely flashed his penis in a yearbook photo of the varsity football team. But those charges are now history, with Mesa police saying the case has been closed against the senior because "all parties involved no longer desire prosecution," the Arizona Republic reports.
Although cops say the principal of the school did the right (and mandatory) thing by reporting the prank once it was discovered, Osborn's community rallied behind him, including on Twitter with a #FreeHunter hashtag and by way of a Change.org petition. Most agreed he should have known better than to pull something like that, which he says he was dared to do. But they thought the charges against him—which could have forced him to register as a sex offender, per USA Today—were a bit harsh. (A more innocuous prank on the NYC subway.)
